A3: Allah has informed us in the verses of the Qur'an with explicit news that the Jews killed the prophets without right, and the Exalted did not mention, even in a single verse, any indication or sign that would divert these reports from what they indicate, namely the actual killing of the Jews' prophets, to merely harming them or to mere attempts; therefore Allah the Exalted said:[Al-Baqarah 2:61] , and He the Exalted said: [Ali 'Imran 3:21] , and He said: [Ali 'Imran 3:112] , and He the Exalted said: [An-Nisa 4:155] the verses. So whoever interprets these verses and explains
the killing as beating or attempts to kill without actual killing, has committed blasphemy against the verses of Allah and played with the Book of Allah in defense of his brothers, the Jews, and in their unjust vindication, and has accepted disbelief as a religion for himself.

And they were covered with humiliation and poverty and returned with anger from Allah [upon them]. That was because they [repeatedly] disbelieved in the signs of Allah and killed the prophets without right. That was because they disobeyed and were [habitually] transgressing.
وَضُرِبَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ الذِّلَّةُ وَالْمَسْكَنَةُ وَبَاءُوا بِغَضَبٍ مِنَ اللَّهِ ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا يَكْفُرُونَ بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ وَيَقْتُلُونَ النَّبِيِّينَ بِغَيْرِ الْحَقِّ ذَلِكَ بِمَا عَصَوْا وَكَانُوا يَعْتَدُونَThose who disbelieve in the signs of Allah and kill the prophets without right and kill those who order justice from among the people - give them tidings of a painful punishment.
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَكْفُرُونَ بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ وَيَقْتُلُونَ النَّبِيِّينَ بِغَيْرِ حَقٍّ وَيَقْتُلُونَ الَّذِينَ يَأْمُرُونَ بِالْقِسْطِ مِنَ النَّاسِ فَبَشِّرْهُمْ بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍThey have been put under humiliation [by Allah] wherever they are overtaken, except for a covenant from Allah and a rope from the Muslims. And they have drawn upon themselves anger from Allah and have been put under destitution. That is because they disbelieved in the verses of Allah and killed the prophets without right. That is because they disobeyed and [habitually] transgressed.
ضُرِبَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ الذِّلَّةُ أَيْنَ مَا ثُقِفُوا إِلا بِحَبْلٍ مِنَ اللَّهِ وَحَبْلٍ مِنَ النَّاسِ وَبَاءُوا بِغَضَبٍ مِنَ اللَّهِ وَضُرِبَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ الْمَسْكَنَةُ ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا يَكْفُرُونَ بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ وَيَقْتُلُونَ الأَنْبِيَاءَ بِغَيْرِ حَقٍّ ذَلِكَ بِمَا عَصَوْا وَكَانُوا يَعْتَدُونَAnd [We cursed them] for their breaking of the covenant and their disbelief in the signs of Allah and their killing of the prophets without right
فَبِمَا نَقْضِهِمْ مِيثَاقَهُمْ وَكُفْرِهِمْ بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ وَقَتْلِهِمُ الأَنْبِيَاءَ بِغَيْرِ حَقٍّthe killing as beating or attempts to kill without actual killing, has committed blasphemy against the verses of Allah and played with the Book of Allah in defense of his brothers, the Jews, and in their unjust vindication, and has accepted disbelief as a religion for himself.
