Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of Fatwa No. ( 7308 ):
Q1: What are the beliefs of the Shi'ah, as far as possible?
A1: The Shi'ah are many sects, including the extremists and the non-extremists. I advise you to read what the scholars have written detailing their sects and explaining the belief of each sect, such as: the book [Maqalat al-Islamiyyin] by Abu al-Hasan al-Ash'ari , and [Minhaj al-Sunnah] by the Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah, and the book [Al-Firaq Bayn al-Firaq] by 'Abd al-Qahir al-Baghdadi , and the book [Al-Millat wa al-Nihl] by al-Shahrastani , and [Al-Millat wa al-Nihl] by Ibn Hazm , and the book [Mukhtasar al-Tuhfah al-Ithna 'Ashariyyah] and similar works, so that you have a broad knowledge of their beliefs. And success is from Allah. And may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
