Q: I hope you will kindly clarify the ruling of Islam on the Qadiyyah group and their alleged prophet, Ghulam Ahmad al-Qadiyani , and I also hope you will be generous enough to send any books that study this group, as I am interested in studying it.
A: Prophethood was sealed with our Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), so there is no prophet after him; this is established by the Book and the Sunnah. Therefore, anyone who claims prophethood after that is a liar, and among those is Ghulam Ahmad al-Qadiyani . His claim of prophethood for himself is a lie, and what the Qadiyyah claim about his prophethood is a false claim. A decision was issued by the Council of Senior Scholars in the Kingdom considering the Qadiyyah a disbelieving sect for this reason. And success is from Allah. May Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
