A word about the Qadiyyah sect.

The Shaykh : As for the new example that has not been more than a century old, surely many of those present have heard of those known as the Qadiyyah. The Qadiyyah reject this designation to mislead people and call themselves the Ahmadiyyah, and there is a long discussion regarding this deception on their part. The point is that these Qadiyyah bear witness with us to everything we bear witness to in faith, including belief in the angels and what follows, and to the five pillars of Islam. They pray, perform Hajj, pay zakah, fast, and so on. However, they claim that there are prophets after Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), which is not what we believe, as Allah the Exalted said in the Noble Qur'an: [Al-Ahzab 33:40] And as he (peace and blessings be upon him) said in many hadiths, the most authentic and famous of which is his statement to 'Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) when he left him as his successor in Madinah and headed toward Tabuk, saying: Sahih Muslim 2404b How is it that these people share with us in all the conditions of faith and Islam, yet they believe in the coming of prophets after the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)? This is their basic principle. They also believe that one of them actually came from India, from a village called Qadian, and we attribute them to it, calling them Qadiyyah. These people share with us in all these beliefs but differ from us in their belief in the coming of prophets in the future, and that one of them came about sixty years ago. His name was Mirza Ghulam Ahmad al-Qadiyyani, and this translates into Arabic as "Khadim Ahmad," meaning our Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). Among their schemes and plots, they took this addition, "Khadim Muhammad" or "Khadim Ahmad," and claimed his name was Ahmad. As I mentioned earlier, this is a long discussion. The point is, how do these people believe in the coming of prophets and that one has come, while they believe in the previous verse [Al-Ahzab 33:40] and do not deny the hadith of 'Ali? They say, "You do not understand the Qur'an. You Arabs, who have inherited the interpretation of the previous verse from generation to generation, do not understand the verse. The one who understood it is the one to whom it was revealed anew, and that is Mirza Ghulam Ahmad al-Qadiyyani." What is the meaning of the verse then? [Al-Ahzab 33:40] When the previous hadith is presented to them, and there are many like it, and very many indeed, they distort the hadith just as they distort the verse, and they say: Sahih Muslim 2404b That is: "with me." As for after I ascend to the highest companion, one will come after me, so the meaning of the hadith is: That is: "with me." And so they interpret the texts in the manner of their predecessors, the Mu'tazilah, the Khawarij, and the like. If Allah blesses you, here is the crux of the matter: It is not enough to say that the two foundations, the Qur'an and the Sunnah, are our only reference, because every misguided sect says this and professes these two foundations. But when they are asked, as I told you earlier, "Do you follow the Salaf, starting from the Companions to the second and third centuries?" they say, "No. We are men and they are men." So our call, which you must understand well, and this is the crux of this speech that came to my mind when I heard your noise of "Ameen" before my "Ameen." I am your imam, and yet you turned it around, so I became the one following you, and you became my imam. This is contrary to the Sunnah, and the reason for it is heedlessness of the hadith, but the greatest reason is the absence of one who conveys the Sunnah to the general Muslim public.
but [he is] the Messenger of Allah and last of the prophets
و لكن رسول الله و خاتم النبيينbeing unto me what Aaron was unto Moses but with this exception that there would be no prophet after me
