The Shaykh’s remarks on the Qadiyyah and their belief regarding prophethood.

The Shaykh : The second new example concerns the Qadiyyah. There is no doubt that they claim to be Muslims, but Islam is free of them, as the wolf is free of the blood of the son of Ya'qub, as the old Arabic proverb says. This is because they have contradicted the path of the Muslims in many of their beliefs. For example, they believe that the door of prophethood has not been closed; the door of prophethood is still open. They affirmed this by the claim of their prophet, who was called Mirza Ghulam Ahmad al-Qadiyyani, who claimed prophethood. Therefore, they believe in the prophethood of Mirza Ghulam Ahmad al-Qadiyyani and declare us, the Muslims, to be disbelievers because we do not believe in this Dajjal of theirs. Now, do they not believe in the saying of Allah the Exalted: [Al-Ahzab 33:40] They believe, of course, because if they denied it, they would become disbelievers and apostatize from their religion. How, then, do they believe in this Qur'anic text and believe in the coming of a prophet, and explicitly state that many prophets like this prophet of theirs will come after him? Listen now to what they do with this verse, contradicting the path of the believers as the Lord of the Worlds said. They say, "You have misunderstood this verse and fallen into error and misguidance, because you understood from His saying: to mean 'the last of them.' This is wrong. The correct understanding of the verse is *Khatam al-Nabiyyin*, meaning 'the ornament of the prophets,' like a ring on a finger. So they believed in the verse but disbelieved in its meaning. It did not benefit them at all. For this reason, we keep repeating—and the research on this is very, very long—that in the present age, it is not enough to say, "I am a Muslim." It is not enough to say, "I am a Muslim according to the Book and the Sunnah." There must be a distinguishing mark between the group of truth to which the Messenger referred in the well-known hadith, Sahih Muslim 1920 to the end of the hadith, and the other groups that claim to be on Islam but are far from Islam, either in whole or in part. Therefore, it is necessary to add: "I am a Muslim according to the Book and the Sunnah and the methodology of the righteous predecessors." This is one of the meanings of the saying of Allah the Exalted: [An-Nisa 4:115] So it is obligatory for us to be on the path of the believers. There are no believers attested to as being superior except the three generations; they are our righteous predecessors. Finally, we say to these people: Let us agree, for the sake of argument, that we are content to say, "We are Muslims according to the Book and the Sunnah." No, we are Salafis, for the sake of argument. But do you not affiliate with the Muslim Brotherhood? Do you not affiliate with the Tabligh Jama'ah? Do you not affiliate with the Tahrir Party? Do you not affiliate with the Hanafi, Shafi'i, Maliki, or Hanbali schools? Do you not affiliate with Sufism, or the Naqshbandi, Qadiri, or Jilani orders? If you did that—and you will not—then we are with you. We will not do it. We will remain on the Book and the Sunnah and the methodology of the righteous predecessors, whether you wish it or not. "And this difference between us is sufficient, *** And every vessel emits what is in it." Yes.
but [he is] the Messenger of Allah and last of the prophets
ولكن رسول الله وخاتم النبيينthe seal of the prophets
خاتم النبيينA group of people from my Umma will always remain triumphant on the right path
لا تزال طائفة من أمتي ظاهرين على الحقAnd whoever opposes the Messenger after guidance has become clear to him and follows other than the way of the believers - We will give him what he has taken and drive him into Hell, and evil it is as a destination.
ومن يشاقق الرسول من بعد ما تبين له الهدى ويتبع غير سبيل المؤمنين نوله ما تولى ونصله جهنم وساءت مصيرا
