A1: First: One does not say: "What is the religion's opinion," but rather: "What is the ruling of Islam regarding such-and-such." Second: The prevailing practice among what is called Sufism today is acting upon shirk-based religious innovations, along with other innovations, such as some of them saying: "Maddad, O Master," and their calling out to the aqtabs (poles), and their collective dhikr in phrases by which Allah has not named Himself, such as: "Huwa Huwa" and "Aah Aah Aah." Whoever reads their books will know many of their shirk-based innovations and other abominations. And success is from Allah. And may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
