Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question: If one misses one of the five daily prayers due to sleep or other reasons, should he delay making it up until its time comes on the following day, or should he make it up immediately when the excuse is removed?

Answer: It is obligatory to make it up immediately when the excuse is removed; As he (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Whoever forgets a prayer or sleeps through it, let him pray it when he remembers it. There is no expiation for it except that.من نسي صلاة أو نام عنها فليصلها إذا ذكرها لا كفارة لها إلا ذلك
Sunan ad-Darimi 2:45
, so it is obligatory for him to hasten to make it up when the excuse is removed from him, and he should not delay it until the next day, for this is not permissible; because he delayed it beyond its time; because its time is when the excuse is removed.
