Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : And unfortunately, we met people here in this country who held these ideas, and long and strange discussions took place between us and them, which you would find astonishing. The first meeting was from after the Maghrib prayer until 'Isha'. When the 'Isha adhan was called, we told the owner of the house: "Call the adhan," but they asked to leave because they do not pray behind us! And what is amazing is that they own books by Shaykh Al-Albani but do not pray behind him! [Everyone laughs!] It is a strange kind of misguidance and a very strange mentality. This was the first night. The second night: the meeting was in their house until eleven thirty at night by the European time. They crumbled a little because they prayed behind me. The third gathering, which was the last, was from after the 'Isha prayer until the Fajr adhan, a continuous session, and it was, as they say in mathematical terms, "the decisive blow." And today, praise be to Allah, they live with us one hundred percent. This is the takfir (declaring someone a disbeliever) group. The reason is that they are young, enthusiastic people who think that knowledge is like any law that any mind can establish and the matter is done, whereas knowledge is what Allah said, as Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allah have mercy on him) said:
"Knowledge is what Allah said, what His Messenger said, what the Companions said, it is not by deception.
Knowledge is not for you to set up a caliphate in foolishness, between the Messenger and the opinion of a jurist.
No, nor is it denying the attributes and negating them, beware of ta'til (denial of the divine attributes) and tashbih (likening Allah to creation)."
