The questioner : Peace be upon you, O His Eminence the Shaykh.
The Shaykh : And upon you be peace, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings.
The questioner : My dear brothers in Allah, our meeting tonight is with a scholar from among the scholars of this Ummah who has dedicated his life to serving his religion and his community. He is a scholar who devoted his efforts to purifying the pure Sunnah, and he is one of the most prominent scholars of hadith in this era. He is the virtuous Shaykh Muhammad Nasir al-Din al-Albani (may Allah prolong his life). The focus of this dialogue with him, if Allah wills, will be on certain jurisprudential issues and social matters that concern the Muslim in this land. Please, our Shaykh, and may Allah benefit us with your knowledge.
The Shaykh : I greet you, O Muslim brothers, wherever you are, with the greeting of Islam. I say to you: Peace be upon you, and Allah’s mercy and blessings. I ask the Lord—Glorified and Exalted is He—to benefit us with this precious Islamic and scientific meeting with beneficial knowledge, and to grant us all righteous action through it. Indeed, Allah—Mighty and Majestic—says in His noble Qur’an:[At-Tawbah 9:105]. So, O Allah, grant us beneficial knowledge and righteous action. Peace be upon you, and Allah’s mercy and blessings.
The questioner : May Allah reward you with good, our Shaykh. If Allah wills, we will begin the questions. If Allah wills, we have received a large number of questions. And this is in accordance with the Shaykh’s request due to health circumstances, so we will begin with the questions. May Allah reward him with good.
