The obligatory prayer in congregation at home, whether in its proper time or not, and do they have the same reward?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : The obligatory prayer in congregation at home, whether in its proper time or not, and do they have the same reward?

The Shaykh : Congregation at home is recommended. Therefore, if the head of the household misses the congregation in the mosque, he has committed a sin if he does not pray in the mosque with the congregation of Muslims. If he misses the prayer with the congregation in the mosque and returns to his house to pray with his family, that is a good thing. However, there is no evidence indicating that this congregation at home is obligatory. Rather, one can envision a scenario where it is obligatory, which was mentioned in the previous hadith:
If you two travel, then call the adhan, and let the older of you in age lead the prayer. إذا سافَرْتما فأذِّنا ، وليؤمَّكما أكبَرُكما سنًّا
. If these guests are in your house and their stay is temporary, they are still considered travelers. In that case, they must pray in congregation at home if they do not wish to pray in the mosque.
