The Shaykh’s talk on the Maturidiyyah regarding their belief in faith in the divine decree.

The Shaykh : As for the Maturidiyyah, who agreed with the Asha'irah in believing in the divine decree, they differ from the Asha'irah in that they do not hold that belief in the divine decree necessitates compulsion. The Maturidiyyah stated that there is no compulsion, and that the human being is a chooser in many of his actions, while in another portion he has no choice in them, but is compelled to do them.
