What is the ruling on the following: A man comes to me and offers me a piece of land for ten thousand, so I go to a buyer and sell it to him for eleven thousand.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Shaykh, I work in the real estate field. It is possible that a man offers me a piece of land, and I know it is worth ten thousand, for example. And I find a buyer for it for eleven thousand. I go to the man before the buyer sees him, I go take a power of attorney from him, and I give him ten thousand, while I have already received the down payment from the buyer for eleven thousand. The land is not mine, and I take a power of attorney from him and deceive the buyer into thinking the land is mine.

The Shaykh : It is written in its title.

The questioner : This is what all land traders do, except for whom Allah has mercy.

The Shaykh : We ask Allah to preserve you and not make you one of them.

The questioner : May Allah reward you with good.
