Utilizing it for travel to maintain family ties and for permissible enjoyment.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Some people travel to visit a relative. They have relatives in other lands, so they travel to visit them, maintain ties with them, and enjoy their company for a period that Allah (Mighty and Majestic) decrees. This is also a justified journey, and its person is rewarded, because it is a journey for what? For what? For maintaining family ties. It is prescribed. You are rewarded for this journey. And you get to see your relatives, love them, and have them love you, and there is much good in it. There is a fourth type: one who travels merely for enjoyment, but it is lawful enjoyment. This is permissible. He may travel, even if he will spend his money, but he will spend it on what is permissible. Souls become weary, bored, and tired with lessons. So if one sets out and goes to relieve oneself, there is no blame on him. The religion, praise be to Allah, is easy. But on the condition that he does not go to what is forbidden. For example: he does not go to places of songs, singers, and composers, because witnessing the people of falsehood is falsehood. And Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He) said:
And it has already come down to you in the Book that when you hear the verses of Allah [recited], they are denied [by them] and ridiculed; so do not sit with them until they enter into another conversation. Indeed, you would then

. So do not witness falsehood, no songs, no dancing, and no forbidden thing, any thing, because if you do that, you have used the blessings of Allah to disobey Allah. And this is not befitting for a person of intellect, let alone a believer.
