The Shaykh : I see that wearing them is forbidden, because I have seen them, and their appearance is that of a man's sandal, and no one doubts that they are for a man. It is true that the soles are thick, unlike men's sandals. But the ruling is based on the appearance; when a person sees them, he says: "This is a man's sandal." The buckle, the laces, and the straps are all from men's sandals. So wearing this is forbidden. Buying it is forbidden. Selling it is forbidden. And more severe than that is that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:Sunan Abi Dawud 4097Sahih (Al-Albani). Does anyone accept entering under the curse of Allah, the curse of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him)? No one accepts it.
