The Shaykh : However, there are other fast-breakers that we can call spiritual fast-breakers. We can call them spiritual fast-breakers. You have just heard his saying (peace and blessings be upon him): Sahih al-Bukhari 1903 Therefore, every person who is fasting should observe himself: is he fasting only from the material fast-breakers, or is he also fasting from the spiritual fast-breakers? In other words, has he improved his character and his behavior when the blessed month of Ramadan entered? If so, he has realized the meaning of His saying (Blessed and Exalted is He) at the end of the verse: As for the one who limits his fasting to abstaining from food and drink, while he is immersed and continuing in the bad character he practiced before Ramadan, this is not the fasting intended by the wisdom of the legislation of this blessed month, to which our Lord (Mighty and Majestic) referred in His saying: Therefore, we advise and remind our Muslim brothers to remember this other, spiritual fast-breaker, which preachers and guides rarely speak about, let alone the general Muslim public being mindful and alert to this type of fast-breaker, namely the spiritual fast-breakers. This is what I wanted to remind our brothers present in this good gathering, if Allah wills, so that it may be a cause for them to increase their drawing near to Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He) in this blessed month, the month of fasting, in which we hope that Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He) will grant us all success in fulfilling the right of this blessed month by abstaining from the material and spiritual fast-breakers. Then, in addition to this word, I hope you will pay attention to some matters that will be presented to you, which the general Muslim public, and indeed even the specialists, have neglected.
Whoever does not give up forged speech and evil actions, Allah is not in need of his leaving his food and drink
مَن لم يدَعْ قول الزور والعمل به ؛ فليس لله حاجة في أن يدَعَ طعامه وشرابهPerhaps you will become mindful of Allah
لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَPerhaps you will become mindful of Allah
لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ
