Definition of Fasting and Its Nullifiers

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
What is the fasting for which the aforementioned conditions are required for its obligation?Fasting: It is the worship of Allah, Mighty and Majestic, by abstaining from the nullifiers from the rising of the dawn to the setting of the sun,Meaning: from the time the rising of the dawn becomes clear until the sun sets, as an act of worship to Allah, Mighty and Majestic, not as a prohibition from eating and drinking, nor as a custom that runs through a person,A condition is necessary: Worshiping Allah, Mighty and Majestic.

And the nullifiers: eating, drinking, and sexual intercourse, and these are mentioned in the Qur'an in one place,Allah the Exalted said:
So now, have relations with them and seek that which Allah has decreed for you. And eat and drink until the white thread of dawn becomes distinct to you from the black thread [of night]. Then complete the fast until the sunset.
[al-Baqarah: 187] These three are mentioned in one place in the Noble Qur'an.

The fourth: cupping, if blood appears,The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said: (The one who cups and the one who is cupped have broken their fast) .

The fifth: vomiting, if one does it intentionally, based on the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Whoever is overcome by vomiting, there is no making up for him, but whoever vomits intentionally, let him make it up" These are five things explicitly stated in the texts, three in the Qur'an and two in the Sunnah.
Is there anything that breaks the fast other than these?
As for the explicit texts, we do not know of anything that breaks the fast by explicit text other than these, but by analogy, yes. For example, eating and drinking are the basis for analogizing injections given to a patient in place of eating and drinking,And these are what is referred to as: nutritional injections, so these break the fast because they are the equivalent of eating and drinking,And the general rule in the Islamic Shari'ah: do not differentiate between two similar things, and do not combine two different things.
As for injections that are not for nutrition, such as therapeutic and stimulant injections, these therapeutic injections do not break the fast, whether they are taken in the muscles, in the vein, or in any other place,Because we say: because they are not eating or drinking, nor are they the equivalent of eating and drinking. And if they are not eating or drinking, nor the equivalent of eating and drinking, we cannot invalidate a worship created by Allah without a legal proof, because we are accountable for what we permit and what we forbid,So the meaning is: if we say: this is lawful, we will be asked about it on the Day of Resurrection: what is the proof? And if we say this is forbidden, we will be asked about it on the Day of Resurrection. And if we are in doubt about whether something breaks the fast or not, what is obligatory? That it does not break the fast; because the worship is established by a legal proof, so a legal proof indicating that it breaks the fast is necessary.

Likewise, among the things that break the fast: the emission of semen through desire by the action of the servant,Meaning: by the action of the human being,For example: that he masturbates with his hand, or has intercourse with his wife until he emits, or something similar to that. But if he emits merely through thinking, it does not invalidate his fast if he did not touch his penis, based on the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family): "Indeed, Allah has pardoned my ummah for what their hearts contemplate, as long as they do not act upon it or speak of it" An objector might object and say: What is the proof that the emission of semen through desire invalidates the fast?So our answer to this is that we say: It came in the Qudsi Hadith that Allah said regarding the fasting person: "He leaves his food, drink, and desire for My sake" and emission is a desire, for this reason the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said: "And in the intercourse of one of you is charity,They said: O Messenger of Allah! Does one of us fulfill his desire and receive a reward? He said: Yes.
Do you not think that if he placed it in the forbidden, he would bear a sin? So likewise, if he places it in the lawful, he receives a reward."

And thus the nullifiers are seven: eating, drinking, sexual intercourse, cupping, vomiting, what is the equivalent of eating and drinking, and emission by the action of the servant.
