Does the description in the Qur'an of the village that was safe and secure, whose provision came to it abundantly from every direction, but which disbelieved in the blessings of Allah and was therefore destroyed, apply to Kuwait?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Does the description in the Qur'an of the village that was safe and secure, whose provision came to it abundantly from every direction, but which disbelieved in the blessings of Allah, apply to Kuwait?

The Shaykh : And upon you be peace, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings.

The questioner : So did the statement come true against it, and did Allah (Mighty and Majestic) destroy it completely? Or is it the hadith:
If one who knows Me disobeys Me, I will send upon him one who does not know Me إذا عصاني مَن يعرفني سلَّطت عليه مَن لا يعرفني
? Or is it the statement that a tyrannical rule with faith cannot stand, but a general rule of the just with faith endures even with disbelief? That is what I mean.

The Shaykh : As for the answer to the question fundamentally, as they say, "The people of Makkah know its valleys best." We did not live there, so you know better. Based on what we hear, there was a very serious deviation there. But the lesson is based on what is predominant. The ruling now, based on what is predominant, returns to the answer you heard: "The people of Makkah know its valleys best, and the owner of the house knows best what is in it." And before I forget what came to my mind, the hadith you mentioned is not a hadith from what did I say?

The questioner : "If one who knows Me disobeys Me, I will send upon him one who does not know Me."

The Shaykh : Yes, so this is not a hadith; therefore, it is not permissible to narrate it. Yes.

The questioner : May Allah reward you with good.
