The questioner : Now, the issue of extending a wire or speaker from the last adhan may defeat the purpose for which the Uthmanic adhan was established, because there is no period in which people can benefit from it, or is my speech not clear?

The Shaykh : It is very clear, but this requires us to imagine that the location is a great distance away, such that if they hear Allahu Akbar from the mosque’s mu’adhdhin and rush to the mosque, they will miss the khutbah. It is not necessary to imagine the location to be this far, but it is far enough that they do not hear the normal sound that is in the Prophet’s Mosque, and Allah knows best.
