The ruling on hanging pictures of the Dome of the Rock to decorate walls and to sanctify them.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : In the heads of the elders who are still tied to superstition. I left the house, and a few days later, we gave a relative a frame. We said, "Look for a natural scene with trees, rivers, mountains, and the like, that reminds one of the blessings of Allah and the signs of Allah." This is better, because it is permissible to decorate houses with such things, and it contains a reminder of the creation of Allah (Mighty and Majestic) on earth. As for this picture of the Rock, and its sanctification, and supporting the common people in this superstition, this is one of the calamities in the present world. Therefore, this is what you must do: either bring a permissible picture, as Ibn 'Abbas said to that painter: "Draw everything except beings with souls".
