Some people say that Shaykh Al-Albani does not consider organizing permissible at present, but that it may become permissible in the future. Is this statement correct?

The questioner : Between me and one of the brothers, the understanding regarding the Shaykh’s methodology and his view on organizing is that he does not see it as permissible now, but perhaps he will see it as permissible in the future. Is this statement correct and true? I said: In answer to this question: The Shaykh does not consider organizing permissible at all, neither now nor in the future, except in the case of the establishment of an Islamic state under a known imam, who is the one who establishes these matters.

The Shaykh : The term "organizing" has various connotations, so the answer will be negative or positive depending on what the questioner means by organizing. For example, organizing lessons is a form of organizing; is there anyone who says that this is not permissible? So what is the organizing that the man claims the Shaykh does not see as permissible now, and that will become permissible in a later time? It is necessary to define the meaning. When we say "organizing," we do not mean organizing lessons, which Muslims have been doing since the time of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) until today. Rather, by organizing, we mean political organizing against the existing rule, before Muslims organize their affairs, know the matters of their religion, and educate themselves on the Book of Allah and the Hadith of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). They want to organize themselves to fight either open disbelief or concealed disbelief. We say that this organizing is premature. However, if Muslims return to their religion in understanding, action, and application, then organizing for jihad in the path of Allah is necessary. This is what we testify to before Allah, and this is a matter that is essential.

The questioner : May Allah reward you with good.

The Shaykh: And you as well, if Allah wills.
