Is it permissible to practice family planning during the period of study?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh: Yes.

The questioner: Continuation of questionsThe student : Is it permissible to practice family planning during the period of study.

The Shaykh: And is the term "planning" intended in the question? Of course, the question was mentioned.

The questioner: I did not specify; I just asked the question like this, hehe.

The Shaykh: Glory be to Allah. First, the term "planning" is a non-Islanic expression, and I think you all know this. The term "family planning" is a product of the disbelievers who do not believe in what Muslims believe in, which is divine decree and destiny. This belief entails that the will of Allah (Mighty and Majestic) is the prevailing one
And you do not will except that Allah wills - Lord of the worlds.
[At-Takwir 81:29]
. Second, this planning is not like planning a house. This is planning for a matter that is hidden from you. You have not been given by Allah (Mighty and Majestic) the power to plan the water in the wife's womb as you are given the power to plan your house in one way or another, whether religiously or otherwise. For example, you can place a picture here and an idol there. You are capable of doing this, but it is not religiously prescribed for you, and you can do otherwise. These are matters over which you have authority, and Allah has enabled you to do them, just as He enabled you to believe or disbelieve, may Allah protect us. When He said:
so whoever wills - let him believe; and whoever wills - let him disbelieve
[Al-Kahf 18:29]
, this is in your hand, but it is never in the wife's hand. What is called today "planning"—the doctors themselves know that often this planning goes to waste. Why? Because it is related to something hidden in the belly, in the womb of this woman. This is the first point. Second, what conflicts with this act called "planning" and Islamic thought is that planning means reducing offspring, but it is not that.
The student : ... .

The Shaykh: Yes, exactly. But this reduction is not in accordance with the noble Prophetic guidance when he said in the authentic hadith:
Marry women who are fertile and loving; for I will boast with you before the nations on the Day of Resurrection.
,
Marry women who are fertile and loving
. So now, the one who wants to plan—meaning he claims that his wife is fertile—means that Allah (Mighty and Majestic) has guided him to follow the command of his Prophet. Perhaps this did not occur to him, and perhaps he is among those to whom the report of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) applies:
Indeed, your Lord is amazed at a group of people who are dragged into Paradise in chains
. This is our Lord who guided him and brought to him a fertile woman. If we compare this fertile woman with a barren woman, first, which of the two husbands is the one who is blessed? The husband who was given a fertile wife or the husband who was given a barren wife? Without doubt, it is the first one. And the examples vary greatly. So we say, is it the one who was given a woman who gives birth to a child every year, or the one who does not give birth except every five or six years? Which one is happy religiously? Without doubt, it is the first one. And as we said, it is sufficient to give these few examples now.
