Is a child credited with good deeds for his righteous actions?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : ... .

The Shaykh : Yes, may Allah reward you.

The questioner : The small child... The woman who said to the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him): "Does he have a Hajj?" He said:
Yes, and you have a reward نعم ولك أجر
. So this child is credited with faith and good deeds; this child is credited with faith and good deeds, meaning if he says: "I bear witness that there is no god but Allah and I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah," does...?

The Shaykh : Without a doubt, otherwise what is the meaning of the saying:
Does he have a Hajj? ألهذا حج ؟
.

The questioner : That is exactly it.

The Shaykh : Yes.

The questioner : So if the child recites something like this
Say, "He is Allah, [who is] One, قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ
[Al-Ikhlas 112:1]
, or says "As-salamu alaykum," does he get good deeds?

The Shaykh : Yes, indeed. This is supported by the fact that there is a hadith that if a child performs Hajj
Then he has a Hajj فله حجٌّ
, but when he reaches the age of accountability, he must repeat it. And peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah.
