Continuation of the explanation of the hadith of Ibn 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both): (He does not wrong him, nor does he abandon him...)

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Then he mentions some of the implications of this brotherhood and says:
He does not wrong him لا يظلمه
This is clear. This is wronging; he does not wrong him, because wronging is forbidden in Islam with a decisive and absolute prohibition. Even a hadith qudsi came:
O My servants, I have forbidden oppression for Myself and have made it forbidden amongst you, so do not oppress one another.
Sahih Muslim 2577a
The Muslim is the brother of the Muslim; he does not wrong him. But it is not only this, meaning that he directly transgresses against him; rather, he also does not abandon him. That is, he supports him when someone wants to transgress against him, whether that person is a Muslim or a non-Muslim. So it is not only that he does not abandon him by directing his wronging directly from him to him, pouring this wronging of this Muslim upon his Muslim brother. No,
A Muslim is a brother of another Muslim. So he should neither oppress him
Sahih al-Bukhari 6951
but it is not only this; rather, he also does not abandon him, meaning he supports him when he finds him wronged, as he (peace and blessings be upon him) said in the hadith that the two Shaykhs extracted from the report of Anas and others:
Help your brother, whether he is an oppressor or he is an oppressed one. People asked, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! It is all right to help him if he is oppressed, but how should we help him if he is an oppressor?" The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "By preventing him from oppressing others."
Sahih al-Bukhari 2444
Some scholars say that the first part of this hadith was known in the pre-Islamic age of ignorance, and that was part of their ignorance.
Help your brother, whether he is an oppressor or he is an oppressed one.
Sahih al-Bukhari 2443
So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came with the just Shari'ah from the sky and removed this ignorance from this phrase by qualifying it. He said:
Support your brother, whether he is wronging or being wronged. They said, "We support him when he is being wronged, but how do we support him when he is wronging?" He said, "By preventing him from wronging."
So, what are the rights of a Muslim over a Muslim? It is not only that he does not wrong him, but he also repels wronging from him if it befalls him. But what do we say if we, the Muslims, are all wronged, and there is none among us who can lift the wronging from us?
We ask Allah (Mighty and Majestic) to return us to our religion with correct understanding and correct application. Otherwise, if we said, "We understand Islam with correct understanding and apply it with correct application," we would be able to support an individual, not just a group, and not just a nation. But the one who cannot support an individual, can he support a multitude? Can he support a group? Can he support a nation? No, then no, then no.
So what is the cure? We always say the cure is:
if you support Allah, He will support you
[Muhammad 47:7]
We do not bring something new to respond to the unbridled emotions that have no limits.
if you support Allah, He will support you and plant firmly your feet.
[Muhammad 47:7]
If you do not support Him, He will never support you. This is the Sunnah of Allah (Mighty and Majestic) in His creation, in His believing servants, and you will not find any change in the Sunnah of Allah. The Muslim is the brother of the Muslim; he does not wrong him, nor does he abandon him. And the hadith says, if you noticed, regarding Ibn 'Umar, that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to say:
A Muslim is the brother of a Muslim. He neither oppresses him nor
Sahih Muslim 2564a
