It is obligatory to adhere to the understanding of the Salaf regarding the texts of the Shari'ah from the Book and the Sunnah.

The Shaykh : And here we say a word: The interpretation of the Prophetic texts from the Book or the Sunnah must adhere to what the righteous Salaf were upon. However, when a doubt like this doubt arises for some people who have not been saturated with correct knowledge, because the scientific means today help to reveal many truths, we say this is correct, but these truths will not contradict the truths contained in the Book and the Sunnah and their understanding by the righteous Salaf, which the Muslims have inherited from generation to generation. The most that can be said is that the scientific means today can be utilized either to confirm the explanation and interpretation to which the Salaf adhered, or to clarify it. This is the case with what we are currently discussing regarding this hadith.
