I was fifteen years old when I went out hunting with my uncle

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : He says: O honorable Shaykh! I was fifteen years old when I went out hunting with my uncle. We were chasing gazelles, and my uncle got out of the car while I, his young nephew, was driving without knowing how to drive, so I ran over my uncle and killed him. I paid the blood money to my uncle’s family. But do I have to fast as expiation, given that I am able to fast, and when should I start fasting?

The Shaykh : Yes. Every person who kills a protected soul, whether the victim is a Muslim—meaning the one who was killed—or a dhimmi (a non-Muslim under Muslim protection) or a musta'min (a non-Muslim granted safe conduct), has to perform the expiation, which is freeing a slave. If he cannot find one, he has to fast for two consecutive months. If he cannot do that, he owes nothing. This questioner says that he is able to fast the expiation, so let him seek help from Allah after Ramadan and fast the expiation. Yes. But if he wishes to fast the six days after the festival, there is no blame on him; he can fast the six days and then begin making up the missed fasts.
Buraydah.

The questioner : Peace be upon you, and Allah’s mercy and blessings. O honorable Shaykh.

The Shaykh : Peace be upon you, and Allah's mercy and blessings.

The questioner : The prohibition was mentioned in the Sunnah regarding conditioning supplication with the will of Allah. What is the point of the Prophet’s (peace and blessings be upon him) saying to the sick person:
Don't worry, Allah willing, (your sickness will be) an expiation for your sins. لا بأس طهور إن شاء الله
Sahih al-Bukhari 5662
?

The Shaykh : Yes. The prohibition against conditioning supplication with the will of Allah is when a person says: O Allah, forgive me if You will.
