Warning about the phenomenon of using the left hand in many aspects of people's lives today.

The Shaykh : As for the other issue, which is taking with the right hand, giving with the right hand, eating with the right hand, and drinking with the right hand, this is obligatory. The opposite of that is forbidden; it is not permissible to eat with the left hand, drink with the left hand, give with the left hand, or take with the left hand. Unfortunately, most Muslims do not pay attention to these matters. I personally have a special concern for this issue. I hardly pass by a place, such as a restaurant or a falafel seller or something like that, without deliberately looking at how these people eat. Also, the fact that they eat while standing is something they do not pay attention to. In fact, the fashion today at private gatherings is to eat while standing. What do they need chairs and tables for? So they shorten the matter and eat while standing. Then you notice that most of them eat with their left hand. This makes us, in our capacity as Muslims, feel that Satan has taken hold of the masses of people, for he is leading them to disobey Allah and His Messenger. This is a reminder, and a reminder benefits the believers, men and women. I will summarize this by saying: First, we must raise our children, male and female, upon the Book and the Sunnah. Second, we must teach this ruling, which is that it is not permissible to drink while standing, and it is not permissible to drink with the left hand. These are two sins from which the Muslim is saved by drinking while sitting and eating or drinking with his right hand. This is what I wanted to remind you of, and I hope that Allah (Mighty and Majestic) will make this beneficial for the men or women present.
