What is the ruling on eating and drinking with the left hand?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : And I said earlier, as a reminder, that no one drinks with their left hand, because this is prohibited by the Shari'ah, based on his saying (peace and blessings be upon him):
Eat with the right hand and drink with the right hand, and do not eat with the left hand and do not drink with the left hand, for Satan eats with the left hand and drinks with the left hand. كل باليمين واشرب باليمين ولا تأكل بالشمال ولا تشرب بالشمال ، فإن الشيطان يأكل بالشمال ويشرب بالشمال
It is very regrettable that Muslims today, meaning their appearance is Islamic, but their actions, their actions are contrary to the Shari'ah of Islam, in many dozens of details. I do not mean the recommended practices and the confirmed sunnahs, no, I mean the forbidden things, and we are now speaking about forbidden things, not about sunnahs and recommended practices. It is forbidden for a person to eat or drink with their left hand, because this is the work of Satan. He must eat with the right hand and drink with the right hand. And it is not just this; today we were with a brother at a grocery store, and he takes the money with his left hand and gives it with his left hand. And he is like me, having reached an advanced age, but he has concealed his old age by shaving his beard. This is the difference, I mean. Although he has reached this age, he still takes with the left and gives with the left. By Allah, this person is excused, my brothers. I say you are all excused, except for whom Allah wills, from those against whom the argument has been established previously. You are excused because, first: the mosques were closed, and there was no longer a teacher in them, as the respected Ministry of Awqaf decided. And this decision, unfortunately, suited the people, because before this decision was issued, you did not find people volunteering, donating, this one giving a lesson in tafsir, this one giving a lesson in hadith, this one giving a lesson in fiqh, in grammar, in morphology, in tajwid, and so on. You no longer see such lessons in the mosques at all. I experienced this in my youth, in the Umayyad Mosque there in Damascus, I experienced many circles in the mosque, including the circles of dhikr that we complain about, where there is shouting and screaming, and whoever claims to be overcome by a state falls to the ground like a bull, bellowing and screaming, and so on. We used to see all of this, and in it was good and in it was evil. But now, the people have remained in their ignorance, because there is no one left to give them knowledge, to quench their thirst with this beneficial knowledge, in the mosques as was the case before. And so the people lived like this, as it is said, in a language of cursing, meaning they are loose, eating however it happens, drinking however it happens, with no life methodology placed before them, because he is ignorant. There is no leadership of a knowledgeable man to teach him this methodology, even if it is the second time after the first, and the repetition after the repetition. So ignorance spread among the general Muslims, except for whom Allah wills, and they are few. So that doubt, that the disbelievers are growing their beards, the answer is yes, but this is only a little of much; the majority of them shave. Second, these people imitate us, so it is better for us that the disbelievers imitate us, than that we imitate them. Why? Because the sick and weak one is the one who imitates the strong, while the strong one does not imitate the weak. This is a historical philosophical point from the philosophy of history, as affirmed by these disbelievers themselves. Therefore, it is more honorable for us, besides being more lawful for us, that the disbelievers imitate us, and that we do not imitate them. So let no one of you be deceived by what some people, deviant in knowledge or character, may say: "The disbelievers are growing their beards, so we imitate the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), for he had a beard that filled his chest (peace and blessings be upon him), and he commanded it, so his command became obligatory. If the command had remained only for something the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) did, it would be a confirmed sunnah, because the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) persisted in it. How much more so when his command was added to that, and when opposing Satan was added to that, who commanded the children of Adam to change the creation of Allah, and when opposing women was added to that, so that we do not imitate them, and fourth and finally, so that we do not imitate the disbelievers. Four justifications for making this Prophetic action an obligatory command for every Muslim. And as we said earlier, in other than this occasion, a reminder, and the reminder benefits the believers, and praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds.

The questioner : May Allah reward you with good.
