Discussion of the chain of narration of the hadith of 'Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him)

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : As for the third hadith in this chapter, it is a hasan hadith, meaning the chain of narration is hasan, but it is mawquf, meaning it is not marfu' to the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), as you will hear, so pay attention to this. It is only from the words of 'Abdullah ibn Mas'ud. And we will all hear that this noble Companion expresses an opinion that is problematic from the perspective of Islamic education, and from the perspective of psychology and the science of education at the same time. For he says, and the one who narrated from him is 'Abdullah ibn al-Rabi'ah. Is it al-Rabi'ah like this for you? Because this always follows the standard path, Rabi'ah, Rabi'ah, whereas this specific word is Rabi'ah. So it is 'Abdullah ibn Rabi'ah. And he is a Tabi'i, and some of them mentioned him among the Companions, but his status as a Companion is not established.
