The Shaykh :"Chapter on Good Character When They Are Learned"
Good character, jurisprudence, and understanding in the religion possessed these virtues that you will hear in the following hadiths:
The first hadith, and it is authentic.
From the hadith of Abu Hurayrah, he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
A man who is known for his good character has the same degree as someone who stands at night in prayer. إن الرجل ليدرك بحسن خلقه درجة القائم بالليل
Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 14:26
.
This hadith, as we read, is a path for the Muslim to adopt good character, which leads him to the rank and degree of the man who stands in night prayer. In some other hadiths:
and the one who fasts in the day والصائم بالنهار
.
A man who is known for his good character has the same degree as someone who stands at night in prayer. إن الرجل ليدرك بحسن خلقه درجة القائم بالليل
Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 14:26
It was added in some authentic hadiths:
and the one who fasts in the day والصائم بالنهار
.
This is an explicit text that if a Muslim improves his character, he reaches the stage of the worshippers, even if he is not in the rank of those worshippers in his own worship. That is, if the Muslim who observes the obligatory duties and avoids the forbidden things improves his treatment and character with his family, his children, his neighbors, and everyone he mixes with among people, he attains through his good character the rank of that worshipper who stands in the night and fasts in the day. So nothing is better than for the Muslim man and the Muslim woman to improve their character, thereby attaining the rank of the worshippers who stand in the night and fast in the day.
However, as we hinted in our commentary on the chapter, it is required that he be learned in his religion. This condition that the author placed in his saying: "Chapter on Good Character When They Are Learned" was taken from the second hadith.
