What is the degree of authenticity of the hadith: (O Allah, as You have made my creation good, make my character good)?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : You mentioned in a hadith ... of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him).

The Shaykh: And upon you peace.

The questioner : He said:
O Allah, as You have made my creation good, make my character good اللهم كما حسَّنْتَ خلقي حسِّنْ خلقي
; is this hadith authentic?

The Shaykh: Yes.

The questioner : I had read it a long time ago, but I do not know; perhaps there is another route for it, and I said that it is weak?

The Shaykh : No, you are mistaken.

The questioner : By Allah?

The Shaykh: By Allah.

The questioner: Our Shaykh.

The Shaykh : You have confused two hadiths; this is one of them, and it is the authentic one. As for the weak hadith that you have mixed up with this authentic hadith, it is:
That the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to say when he stood in front of a mirror: O Allah, as You have made my creation good, make my character good أن النبي - صلى الله عليه وسلم - كان إذا وقف أمام المرآة قال : اللهم كما حسَّنْتَ خَلْقي فحسِّنْ خُلُقي
.

The questioner : This is what I intended, Shaykh. This is what I intended.

The Shaykh : But that is not what I intended.

The questioner : Yes, that is another hadith. May Allah reward you with good.

The Shaykh : Heh, so you have confused the matter.

The questioner : Yes, yes.

The Shaykh : You have confused the matter.

The questioner : Yes, yes.

The Shaykh : The supplication is authentic, but that he used to stand in front of a mirror and make this supplication is not authentic.

The questioner : This hadith is reported in *Sahih al-Kalim al-Tayyib* by Ibn Taymiyyah, with the verification of the Shaykh.
