The questioner: His EminenceThe Shaykh- May Allah preserve you - , you mentioned in some of your books that you have revised the verification of "Al-Mishkat"; is it permissible for us to rely on the edition in our hands until the new edition is published? And when do you expect that to happen?

The Shaykh: It is necessary to rely on the old edition until the new edition appears. As for when that will be, no one knows that except Allah, neither I nor anyone else; because that depends on the circumstances that help us to bring the manuscripts into the world of print. We are currently in the process of publishing the completion of "Al-Silsilah al-Sahihah" and "Al-Silsilah al-Da'ifah" and other important books, and they are now in press. I have also traveled to these lands, and in my hands is the writing of the introduction to "Al-Silsilah al-Sahihah," Volume Five, and "Al-Da'ifah" - also - Volume Five. We have finished verifying the proofs of the second volume of my abridgment of "Sahih al-Bukhari." And so we proceed.
