How to reconcile the hadith: (Allah, Mighty and Majestic, will fold the heavens on the Day of Resurrection, then take them in His right hand, then say: I am the King! Where are the arrogant? Where are the proud? Then He will fold the earths with His left hand, then say...)

The questioner : This is a hadith that was inverted for its narrator, like the hadith:
His left hand spends what His right hand does not know.
Or is it established in its reality?

The Shaykh : Which hadith... what is the first hadith?

The questioner :
The heavens in His right hand and the earths in His left hand.

The Shaykh : Yes.

The questioner : Did it get inverted for him, so we say the earths are in His other hand?

The Shaykh : No, it was not inverted, because we mentioned in some answers that this hadith, although its chain in Muslim includes 'Amr ibn Hamzah or Hamzah ibn 'Amr, who is considered weak,

The questioner : 'Amr ibn Hamzah

The Shaykh : 'Amr ibn Hamzah, but the issue of the right and left hand has corroborating evidence, and on that basis we reconcile this matter with his statement (peace be upon him) also in Sahih Muslim:
both of the Hands of my Lord are right
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 3367Hasan (Darussalam)
That this is part of the perfect exaltation of the Lord of the worlds in the Noble Qur'an, where He exalts Himself by saying:
There is nothing like unto Him, and He is the Hearing, the Seeing.
[Ash-Shuraa 42:11]
So the fact that a human being has a right hand and a left hand may lead some people, especially those who deny the divine attributes, to think that this is likening Allah to creation, so the response came from the Messenger (peace be upon him) by saying:
both of the Hands of my Lord are right
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 3367Hasan (Darussalam)
meaning that nothing is like Him.
