Where should one look when in bowing?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : In bowing, does one look at the place of prostration or not?

The Shaykh : There is nothing specified in the Sunnah. Nothing has been reported at all regarding where to look during bowing, nor during prostration.

Another questioner : How should the gaze be directed during the funeral prayer?

The Shaykh : He is standing and looks at the place of his prostration. When in the tashahhud, he looks at his index finger, which he raises toward the qiblah, and he moves it as stated in the authentic Sunnah, while looking at it. So the two places where the gaze is directed are those specified in the Sunnah regarding where to cast the eye. Anything else is negligence about which silence is maintained. Peace be upon you, and Allah’s mercy and blessings.

Another questioner : In bowing, O Shaykh?

The Shaykh : The answer has already been given.
