Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : He is asking about the method of the prayer.
Another questioner: The method of the prayer.

The Shaykh : The method of which prayer?

The questioner : The method of the prayer of Tasbih?

The Shaykh : Tasbih, yes. The prayer of Tasbih, as it came in the various narrations of the hadith, is like the other prayers. It differs only in that you recite seventy-five tasbih phrases in every rak'ah, making a total of three hundred tasbih phrases. In the first rak'ah, before bowing, you recite fifteen tasbih phrases: Subhan Allah, Alhamdulillah, La ilaha illa Allah, and Allahu Akbar. Then you bow, and after completing the customary bowing, you recite these tasbih phrases ten times. That makes twenty-five. Then you raise your head from the bowing and say, "Sami' Allahu liman hamidah, Rabbana wa lakal hamd." Then you recite ten tasbih phrases. And so it is with every pillar: ten tasbih phrases. That is, when you prostrate, after the tasbih of prostration, you recite ten tasbih phrases. When you sit between the two prostrations, you recite ten tasbih phrases. When you raise your head from the second prostration and sit in the position of rest, you recite ten tasbih phrases. The total for this is seventy-five tasbih phrases. He does this in every rak'ah, so the total is three hundred tasbih phrases. This is its description. It does not excel the other recommended practices except with these tasbih phrases and in this order that I mentioned just now. This extent is sufficient.
