What is your comment on the fact that many of the worshippers rush to leave the mosque after the imam says the closing salam, and some of them do so before the imam has finished his salam?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Many of the worshippers leave the mosque immediately after the imam says the salam, and some of them leave before the imam has finished saying: "Peace be upon you and Allah's mercy and His blessings."

The Shaykh : Yes, here is a matter that also requires attention and awareness, which is:
It has two branches, one of which relates to the imam, and the other relates to the followers:
As for the imam, he should say the salam quickly and not prolong it, so he should not say: "Peace be upon you and Allah's mercy and His blessings," because by the time he finishes, as the doctor said, the majority of the worshippers will have finished their salam. Therefore, in order to prevent the followers from rushing, he should omit the "blessings" and shorten it by saying: "Peace be upon you and Allah's mercy," then turn to the left and say again: "Peace be upon you and Allah's mercy." This matter concerns both the imam and the followers; the imam omits the "blessings," and the followers delay their salam relative to his, based on the principle I mentioned earlier:
The Imam is (appointed) to be followed. So do not differ from him إنما جُعِل الإمام ليؤتم به فلا تختلفوا عليه
