Repeating 'Umrah in a Short Interval

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question: If I enter the state of ihram to perform 'Umrah for myself, and after completing it I wish to perform another 'Umrah for my father and another for my uncle, is it sufficient to perform only the tawaf and sa'y for each of them, using my initial ihram that I entered for myself from the miqat? Or is it necessary to return to the miqat and enter ihram anew for each of them?

Answer: First: Repeating 'Umrah in a short interval is a matter in which there is hesitation and inappropriateness. Some scholars have disapproved of repeating 'Umrah in a short interval, so there is scholarly disagreement on this.
If a Muslim performs 'Umrah for himself, he should make du'a for his parents and relatives during his tawaf and sa'y, and during his other time spent in the Sacred Mosque. This is sufficient, if Allah wills, and we hope that its benefit and his kindness will reach them.
However, if one does what the questioner mentioned—repeating 'Umrah for himself first, then for his mother, and so on—there is no harm in that, even though it is not the preferred course. But if he does it, he must have a separate ihram for each 'Umrah. He must go out to the halal area (to al-Tan'im), or to 'Arafah, or to al-Ja'ranah. He must leave the Haram, go outside the miles, and enter ihram for 'Umrah for himself. Similarly, if he wishes to perform another 'Umrah, he must go out a second and third time. He must go out to enter ihram for 'Umrah from the halal area. Each 'Umrah requires a separate ihram. Several 'Umrahs do not share a single ihram, as the questioner suggests.

Question: The ihram is performed from the nearby halal area, and it is not required to return to the miqat of the country from which he came.

Answer: The miqat for 'Umrah for one who is inside Makkah is the halal area.

Question: If he is not from the people of Makkah, from where does he enter ihram?

Answer: If he is inside the miles and wishes to perform 'Umrah, he must go outside the miles. That is, if he is inside the Haram and wishes to perform 'Umrah, he must go out and enter ihram for 'Umrah from the halal area, whether he is in Makkah or outside Makkah.
As for one who is outside the halal area, he enters ihram from his location.
