Divorce three times in one sitting

The questioner : Some of the people who seek a ruling, I mean, with your permission, there is a case of one of our neighbors who said to his wife, "You are divorced, you are divorced, you are divorced," four times. He said, "That is it, since you are divorced from me, you are not lawful for me." He went to ask, of course, the mufti in his country, and the mufti told him, "We count it as one divorce if you were in your right mind. But if you were angry and not in your right mind, meaning you did not intend this matter, because anger and irritability and upset... he said, 'No, she is divorced from him.' And you here, your religion is, in a sense, corrupted."

The Shaykh : In any case, may Allah teach us and benefit us, because people are living in ignorance, deep ignorance.
