The questioner : He says: I am an employee working in one of the joint-stock companies, and sometimes I ask my direct supervisor to let me leave my workplace and go home, and he permits me to do so and confirms my salary for that day. I should note that he is an employee like me and is not a shareholder in the company where we work. Also, it happens that I ask him to allow me to make or do something with the company's funds, such as making a wooden table or an iron table, or other items of little value, knowing that they are from the funds of the joint-stock company. What is the ruling on this? May Allah reward you with the best reward?

The Shaykh : If the company is aware of this and approves of it, there is no harm, because this is their money. If they are satisfied with what is made from it, there is no harm.

The questioner : Yes.

The Shaykh : Likewise, regarding work and being absent for a short period with the permission of his direct supervisor, this is also permissible if the company is aware of it and approves of it.
However, if the company is not aware of it and does not approve of it, it is not permissible for his supervisor to allow him to do so, unless he has been given authority over it, or it is among the simple matters that are customary. In that case, there is no harm.

The questioner : Also, this is a message.
