How is moderation achieved regarding a person to whom Allah has bestowed blessings?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : How is moderation achieved regarding a person to whom Allah has bestowed blessings...?

The Shaykh : In everything—may Allah bless you—it is the truth. I tell you here something that is known, but it must be placed in its proper context. I, for example, cannot give a limited answer in this matter. Why? Because if we start from here to there, each of you has a share of blessing that differs from the other in amount, whether more or less. So if I tell this one: do such and such, but that one may not be suitable to do such and such, and so on. But the previous verse describing the servants of Allah is sufficient for you:
And [they are] those who, when they spend, do so not excessively or sparingly but are ever, between that, [justly] moderate وَالَّذِينَ إِذَا أَنْفَقُوا لَمْ يُسْرِفُوا وَلَمْ يَقْتُرُوا وَكَانَ بَيْنَ ذَلِكَ قَوَامًا
[Al-Furqan 25:67]
. However, the basis of the ruling here is that this money is not... to the ground. As for you, if you slaughter specifically for the prince, if he is righteous, or for that...The Shaykh : ...specifically, if he is a scholar, you slaughter two animals and there remains a surplus. Either you give it to your neighbors or you give it in charity to the poor. No one denies this. But our discussion was that, as we see, sometimes terrible and truly terrible amounts are loaded into cars. So wasting money, as you know, is mentioned in the hadith of al-Mughirah ibn Shu'bah in "al-Sahihayn." He said: "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade idle talk, excessive questioning, and wasting money." And I do not like to hear... regarding this statement; because this is the statement of the Messenger (peace be upon him): "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade idle talk, excessive questioning, and wasting money." The intended meaning is wasting money. Otherwise, the matter is as it was said: extravagance is not from good. So some of them reversed it and said: there is no extravagance in good.
