Evidence that all innovations are misguidance, using the sermon of necessity, discussing it, and explaining its importance.

The Shaykh : ... And among what confirms this for you are the famous hadiths, including the one with which we begin our lessons:
The best of speech is the speech of Allah, and the best of guidance is the guidance of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), and the worst of matters are their newly invented ones, and every newly invented matter is an innovation, and every innovation is misguidance, and every misguidance is in the Fire.
Among the wonders of the matters we observe, which confirm the correctness of our methodology and the error of the methodology of others, is that you do not find a preacher among the preachers who maintains in his sermon this sermon, which is part of the sermon of necessity that our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) always and forever maintained. Why? Because the simplest person will say to him: From your ascending the pulpit to your exiting the prayer, it is all religious innovation and contrary to the guidance of the Messenger to whom you are calling people. Therefore, Satan inspired them to be transgressors, not to be involved in your own affairs. You see them preaching , and they conclude it with: , while you say: "There is no good religious innovation," and your Messenger says, and you are quoting from him: . This is a contradiction. Therefore, He beautified for them their evil deeds, and they abrogated from their Shari'ah this Sunnah that the Messenger (peace be upon him) was consistent in. Therefore, I have a complete material... I do not know, just by hearing a preacher open the sermon with this sermon by saying this, it is necessary that he has... I am not saying to you he is a Salafi, but what does he have? He has Salafism, meaning, otherwise it is not possible for one to say there is a good religious innovation and then come to preach to people and say: . This is from the hadiths indicating the opposite of what the later imitators, who are never independent legal reasoners by their own admission, hold, namely that there is a good religious innovation. Then they dare, with their ignorance, rather with their stupidity, and say: "My brother, this is a general text, but it is specified." They say it is specified!!
First: We do not know in the words of the Messenger (peace be upon him), which are from the concise words, such a generalization followed by a specification. This phrase is one of the clearest phrases of generality and comprehensiveness. . I always and forever say, on this occasion, in the measure of his saying (peace be upon him): . Can anyone say: No, not every intoxicant is khamr, and not every khamr is forbidden? This is impossible. And there are many general principles, . It is not possible for a person to say: No, there is no clay except that its origin is from clay. . They said: Who refuses, O Messenger of Allah? He said: . So, everyone who obeys the Messenger (peace be upon him) enters Paradise. These general principles do not accept specification. They brought this general principle and shattered it, and said: No, ... the hadith is in its generality. Although the Messenger (peace be upon him), as Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah, the one who knows Allah truly, says... I do not know whether we praise him when we describe him as the one who knows Allah truly, as others describe some of their great ones? We do not know whether we disparage him or praise him? But , because the truth is that he knows the Book of Allah and the hadith of the Messenger of Allah. He says: The Messenger of Allah, in every Friday sermon, in addition to other sermons, says in them: , establishing and formulating this rule. Then these people come with the simplest stupidity and say: No, this is not general. And the Messenger (peace be upon him) never said that not every innovation is misguidance. He always confirms and confirms, repeating the general phrase in different circumstances and occasions. In terms of Arabic style, this is a confirmation that this speech, as you hear, does not accept interpretation, restriction, or specification at all...
So here he says: , this is a general principle. And there he says: , which is also from the forms of generality and comprehensiveness. The meaning of is: Everyone who innovates in our religion what is not from it, it is rejected. The research in this is long, but I remind you, also, of a report from a noble Companion who was prominent among the Companions for his love of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) and his love of following his Sunnah. He interpreted for us the first phrase in a way that blocked the path for these innovators. They say , no. He comes and refutes them, as if Allah (Mighty and Majestic) revealed to his insight. If we believed in the revelation that the Sufis and their followers speak of, we would say it was revealed to him that people would come after them who say there is a good innovation, and that the saying of the Messenger is from the general that is specified. This was revealed to him, so he answered them in advance, saying: "Every innovation is misguidance, even if people see it as good." Where are you going, O imitators? Did this man, one of the great Companions, err? Well, we accept it, because I am speaking of infallibility. But we do not reject the speech of one Companion, let alone if they are more, merely because a follower of imitation refutes him. And he is not an independent legal reasoner except with evidence. How, when there is someone from the Companions, Hudhayfah ibn al-Yaman, who said: "Every act of worship that the Companions of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) did not worship with, do not worship with it." Count the acts of worship that people do today and seek them in the books of imitation, not in the books of the Sunnah. Seek them in the books of imitation, and you will not find any mention of them.
Why? Because the same imitators, who are scholars by the sayings of their imams, before they wrote down these innovations, and every day there is a new innovation, every day there is a new innovation. Why? Because the hole of innovations is never filled, it is very wide, and Satan is lying in wait for people. As he (peace be upon him) said in the authentic hadith, when he drew a straight line for people and recited: , he drew the straight line, and drew short lines on its two sides, and said: These lines are the paths of Satan, and on the head of every one of these paths is a Satan calling people to it.
So the devils of the jinn, in addition to the devils of mankind, are still alive, acting on their instinct. Therefore, the happy one is the one who takes refuge and holds fast to the firm rope that has no breaking. What is it? The Book and the Sunnah.
And perhaps this amount is sufficient, and although I feel, as I told you at the beginning of the speech, that the topic of innovation in Islam requires many lectures, I hope in a future lesson, if Allah wills, to follow up some of this with a supplementary or completing research, at least some of it, with other evidence that we remind the brothers of, and address the doubts of the later imitators that they cling to in order to refute these pillars of evidence... regarding following in the religion.
