In continuation of the previous question: Many of these people traveled due to the harshness of conditions in their home countries

The questioner : Also, there is [a need] for the matter to become clear, if you please. Does the time allow us?

The Shaykh: Go ahead.

The questioner : May Allah reward you. I mean, for example, one or two examples to clarify the situation or some of the reasons that made the brothers need some time. For example, I came and I was in, for example, Saudi Arabia, and I had debts that I had incurred during the pre-Islamic age of ignorance. For some reasons, it was a dire necessity, but Allah decreed that after we found the truth, we ask Allah to keep us firm upon it.

The Shaykh: Amen.

The questioner : So the demand from the people of debt became severe on me, and the debts were large, meaning large amounts. So we found no way to stay in Saudi Arabia; especially since obtaining residency is very difficult, and obtaining work in a lawful manner is also difficult. So now we came before we knew the fatwa from the brothers sitting before us in this country. We found, may Allah be praised, that our Lord facilitated the matter for us, and we found obtaining the lawful form in work and so on. I mean, I swear by Allah, we hate and feel the bitterness of our presence in the land of disbelief through the situation we live in. But, may Allah be praised, our presence in the discipline of the group and the brothers reminds each other, and that they recite the Book of Allah and interpret it. And the tapes, may Allah be praised, there is no tape containing important matters concerning the religion from your permissibility but, may Allah be praised, it is now in our hands. And before we contacted you, we were listening to some fatwas and some questions from some brothers that clarify some religious matters. So this is one of the examples. The second example is a brother from the land of Morocco whose father and mother are not on the correct belief. And when he entered the belief or the correct religion, they became hostile toward him with the greatest hostility, and they threw him out of the house considering that he brought something that contradicts customs and contradicts traditions; there is no precedent of the fathers in anything!

The Shaykh : Yes, and they do so.

The questioner : Yes, they do with him, meaning that because he has no source of livelihood or source of income; so they press him hard; because they are spending on him. And he wants to have strength so that he can present the call to them and they will accept it from him; because he is now in a weak position, but he wants to improve his circumstances; especially since he is in institutions and factories in some jobs far from the trials of women, jobs that take all the time in work, and after that the prayers are performed. And we have a two-day weekend, on these two days we gather to study the books of Islamic jurisprudence from the authentic Sunnah and the correct belief, if Allah wills. So these are two examples to clarify the situation we are in...

The Shaykh : May Allah reward you. This example that you mentioned before and after these examples comes to us in large numbers. But I believe that it is not a legal excuse. And perhaps you have specialized and understood that the phrase known today as "the end justifies the means" or "the end does not justify the means." The first phrase is a Jewish Zionist rule, the other is an Islamic rule. The Islamic rule: the end does not justify the means; meaning: a Muslim in an Islamic country who is harassed by his family, by his relatives, by the closest people to him, by his mother and his father; this is not an excuse to leave his country and abandon his father and his mother. He must be patient and endure, as was the case of the weak believers in Makkah al-Mukarramah until Allah, Mighty and Majestic, brought them relief. Therefore, it is not permissible for a Muslim to take a forbidden means to escape from a problem he falls into. What is the problem for this Moroccan? That when the truth in the correct Islam became clear to him and he adopted it, his family became hostile toward him; so he must endure. They expelled him, so let him go out and work as a farmer, a porter, a bread seller, a falafel seller, or whatever; because Allah, Mighty and Majestic, says:
And whoever fears Allah - He will make for him a way out (3) And will provide for him from where he does not expect. وَمَنْ يَتَّقِ اللهَ يَجْعَلْ لَهُ مَخْرَجًا وَيَرْزُقْهُ مِنْ حَيْثُ لَا يَحْتَسِبُ
[At-Talaq 65:2-3]
.
This verse, the Muslims need to write it conceptually in their hearts, and it is not permissible for them to inscribe it on their tablets and then hang it on the walls of their houses, while their hearts are empty on their thrones. This is the state of many Muslims today; you find signs in the buildings written on them:
And whoever fears Allah - He will make for him a way out (3) And will provide for him from where he does not expect. وَمَنْ يَتَّقِ اللهَ يَجْعَلْ لَهُ مَخْرَجًا وَيَرْزُقْهُ مِنْ حَيْثُ لَا يَحْتَسِبُ
[At-Talaq 65:2-3]
. So if he is asked: Why are you an employee in the bank? He tells you: I need to live. Why are you selling intoxicants? Why are you an employee of one who sells what is forbidden? And so on. You find that they do not think about this verse with which they decorated the walls of their houses. And therefore, you must all think correctly to escape from those countries as soon as possible, and improve your opinion of your Lord. So no doubt you knew, or you learned later, his saying, peace be upon him, about his Lord:
I am as My slave thinks of Me; so let him think of Me what he wills أنا عند ظنِّ عبدي بي ؛ فليظُنَّ بي ما شاء
Sunan ad-Darimi 20:27
. For this, I say to you and your companion and everyone around you: Slowly, slowly, hasten to flee with your religion from the land of your enemy, and Allah will be with you. And that is enough for you here, and peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah and His blessings.

The questioner : And upon you be peace, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings and His forgiveness.
