The Shaykh:
The believer who mixes with people and endures their injury is better than the person who does not mix with people nor endure their injury.
Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 388
; because in this mixing, as we mentioned, there is an opening of the Muslim's mind, or an opening by him of the minds of his Muslim brothers, if he knows that.
In any case, the one who lives among his brothers is either benefiting or being of benefit, and sometimes both occur; he benefits and is of benefit at the same time. There is no doubt that mixing with people, especially in difficult times when corruption is prevalent among people, means that the one who mixes will encounter hardship, distress, difficulty, and harm. Therefore, mixing is better for him because he is rewarded for his patience in mixing with his fellow human beings, with beautiful patience.
