The questioner : O Muslims, I see that we are all making a covenant with Allah from this moment and this hour that we will work for Allah and strive for Allah. Striving, my brothers, striving is an obligatory duty and one of the greatest obligations that Allah has imposed on humanity. No nation has ever been rectified except through striving, and no nation has abandoned striving except that Allah humbled them; for striving is a defense of the truth, not an aggression against others. So striving, yes, sometimes it is striving with the pen, sometimes striving with the word, and sometimes it requires striving with blows, shedding blood. And sometimes this striving is perseverance. So we must be patient against the enemies, be patient against the enemies of Allah, correspond with them, respond to them, speak with them, and argue with them in the best manner. We must discuss and be diligent, not being complacent, and not letting boredom take us, nor weariness, nor the periods that take hold of the weak. We must set out for Allah, light and heavy, and strive in the path of Allah. It is obligatory upon us
O you who have believed, what is [the matter] with you that, when you are told to go forth in the cause of Allah, you adhere heavily to the earth? Are you satisfied with the life of this world rather than the Hereafter? But what is the enjoyment of worldly life compared to the Hereafter except a [very] little.
[At-Tawbah 9:38]
, it is obligatory upon us to respond to Allah
O you who have believed, respond to Allah and to the Messenger when he calls you to that which gives you life. And know that Allah intervenes between a man and his heart and that to Him you will be gathered.
[Al-Anfal 8:24]
.
So fear Allah, O servants of Allah. O Abdullah, you are responsible for yourself and your limbs, responsible outwardly and inwardly. Then you are responsible for your children. It is obligatory upon you to proceed upon the methodology, and this is not possible except by following knowledge, and by purchasing the correct Islamic books and leaving them as an inheritance for your sons, not leaving them floors. O Allah, if the books are not obtained before that, perhaps the wealth you leave for your children, they will make it a ladder by which they ascend only to anger Allah, and they will ascend by it until they demolish everything you built in your life. What makes you think that perhaps your children are wretched criminals, as some of the Salaf said, and perhaps 'Umar ibn 'Abd al-'Aziz or someone else was asked: Why do you leave your children... wealth in their hands? He said: If they are pious, Allah provides for the pious
And whoever fears Allah - He will make for him a way out (3) And will provide for him from where he does not expect.
[At-Talaq 65:2-3]
, and if they are criminals, I am not prepared to leave wealth with them that aids them; for wealth aids its owners in crimes, and it is the ladder by which one ascends, and it is the mount that criminals ride. Wealth, and wealth prolongs its owner if he is a criminal, and if wealth is abundant before him, it prolongs the greatest crime and he does the greatest of what angers Allah. Why? Because wealth is a means to obedience and a means to disobedience, a great means. So do not leave much wealth before you leave the great inheritance from the inheritance of the Chosen One (peace and blessings be upon him), which He distributed upon us. The Companions would compete and rush and hasten to share in the Prophetic inheritance, which is the hadith and which is knowledge. So it is obligatory upon you, we said this is not possible except by knowledge, knowledge, knowledge, you must have knowledge. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) clarified
Whoever takes a path upon which to obtain knowledge, Allah makes the path to Paradise easy for him.
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2646Sahih (Darussalam)
, so it is obligatory upon every one of us to know why Allah created him, to know how to stand before Allah on the Day of Resurrection? What will he present to Allah when he is asked? It is obligatory upon the person not to think that he has multiplied
And do not confer favor to acquire more
[Al-Muddaththir 74:6]
, it is obligatory upon you to
And be patient for your Lord.
.
And know that the first thing with which the Qur'an began on earth and the first verse that honors the earth is
Read
, and the meaning of
Read
is learn and provision. So after he (peace and blessings be upon him) read and this was revealed to him, what was revealed after that?
Stand up and warn.
, after you read, stand and warn the people, what is in you...
(1) O you who covers himself [with a garment], (2) Arise and warn
[Al-Muddaththir 74:1-2]
, what is the matter after you read, it is not right for you,
The time of sleep has passed, O Khadijah.
if she said to him: Sleep for you, rest a little of the night. He said to her:
The time of sleep has passed, O Khadijah.
, the covenant is not a covenant of sleep, so He revealed to him
Indeed, We will cast upon you a heavy word.
[Al-Muzzammil 73:5]
, and I know and you all know that there is no messenger after the Messenger of Allah, and you are all responsible for this message, and will be held accountable for it on the Day of Presentation to Allah. You are all responsible for this message, what did you do? And you know the hadith
The feet of a believer will not cease from the abode of this world to the abode of the Hereafter until he is asked about four things.
, from these four:
About his knowledge, what did he do with it?
, so if you know, it is obligatory upon you to convey what you know, as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
May Allah beautify the face of the one who hears my words, understands them, and conveys them as he heard them; for perhaps the one who conveys them is more understanding than the one who hears them.
, so it is obligatory upon you, and his saying (peace and blessings be upon him):
Convey from me, even if it be an Ayah
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2669Sahih (Darussalam)
, so it is obligatory upon you to know, it is an obligation, and if you know, you have no choice but to roll up your sleeves of earnestness and confront the people, whether it is a confrontation with the tongue or a confrontation with the pen or a confrontation with the sword. O Allah, we do not begin with people like this, we only present this call, so if we see... or an obstacle in our face or a strong barrier between us and the servants of Allah to whom we want to convey this call, we remove it by any means. O Allah, if it is truly that it does not allow us to debate the people and speak to them, and may Allah bless our master Muhammad.
