Explaining the misguidance of some non-Muslims in the oneness of Allah - (Blessed and Exalted is He) - even though there is no difference between the Buddhists, the Jews, and the Christians and the Muslims who

The Shaykh : Let us now give a very exaggerated example of anthropomorphism. The Christians say: "Allah is the third of three." Do you believe that they have faith in Allah? They have not believed in Allah, because Allah is One in His essence. They say: "Allah is the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, equal to one God." So these people believe in the phoenix, not in Allah, because Allah is One with no partner. When they believe in the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit as Allah, this is nothing; it is not Allah. So they worship an imagined thing, as people say about the phoenix, or as people say about the Wahhabis. What do you think?

The questioner : May Allah reward you with good.

The Shaykh : May Allah preserve you.
The point is: let us take another example. The Buddhists worship cows; they deify them. This is the one who created the entire universe with its greatness and precision, and so on. So these people do not believe in Allah. The examples of this kind of anthropomorphism are such that no rational person argues that this is not Allah. Now, my brothers, let us turn to ourselves, the Muslims. The masses of Muslims believe, and we do not exclude some of the scholars of knowledge, and the experience is before you. Ask them: "Where is Allah?" The great Shaykh, the scholar, the doctor, who is in what? In the university, teaching students the Shari'ah, and so on, will tell you: "Allah is present in every place." So let us speak about ourselves now. If we believe that Allah is in every place, what is the difference between us and the Jews and Christians? And what is the difference between us and the Buddhists? The difference is only in form. The Buddhists confined their object of worship to the cow, the Jews and Christians confined their object of worship to three hypostases, and what did we do? We made Him in every place. Is this the oneness of Allah? Exalted is Allah above what the wrongdoers and the ignorant say, in great exaltation.

Another questioner : Among His attributes is the Most High.

The Shaykh : "Glory be to my Lord, the Most High." We say this in the prayer. We do not know what we are saying! We blather about what we do not know! This is the calamity of the Muslims.
Therefore, we ask Allah - (Mighty and Majestic) - to return us to our religion in understanding and in action, for action does not occur except after good understanding.
