Closing of the session: It includes praise of the Shaykh, and an exhortation to those whom the Shaykh declines to meet to excuse him due to his heavy preoccupation.

The student : May Allah reward our Shaykh with the best reward for us and for the entire Muslim community. I would like, at the end of this session, in the evening of this blessed day about which our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) informed us,
That whoever coincides with the last hour of this day while he is praying بأن مَن وافق الساعة الأخيرة من هذا اليوم وهو يصلي
.

The Shaykh : And upon you be peace and the mercy of Allah. Welcome.
The student
except Allah responds to him إلا استجاب الله له
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 3505Sahih (Darussalam)
Yes.
Another student: ...
The student : In truth, it is not possible for us, as we sit with our Shaykh at the end of every session, except to make du'a for him, especially in this last blessed hour. We ask Allah (Mighty and Majestic) to prolong his life, to let us benefit from his knowledge, and to make him, if Allah wills, a blessing for us through the blessing of this knowledge to which Allah has granted him access in this time. We do not wish to say here that this is from the category of extra words and not from the category of praise and commendation, but to say that Al-Albani is the hadith scholar of this era. If we say this, we may actually diminish his status, and may we be kept away from diminishing his status. Whether we say it or not, Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He) has bestowed upon him acceptance in this century and this era. I ask Allah to make his legacy his knowledge with this Muslim community after a long life, good health, sincere work, and sincere turning to Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He). This is the first point. As for the second point, many of our brothers coming from neighboring countries, from Arab lands, from other Muslim lands, or from non-Muslim lands, come to us thinking that if one settles in Oman or descends into Jordan, he will be granted an audience with Al-Albani.
Another student: What Allah willed, there is no power and no strength except by Allah.
The student : That he will be granted an audience with Shaykh Al-Albani. This is a wish that occupies him before he moves his first foot, or the first step, to take the first step from his country. But I would like to say, and perhaps my words, if Allah wills, will align—not with their desires, but with acceptance in their hearts—that the Shaykh, may Allah reward him with good, sometimes, and in many cases, our brothers contact us before they come and ask permission to attend, because they know from what we have told them about the Shaykh that the Shaykh, in many cases, I do not say he refuses the meeting, but he excuses himself from meeting our brothers for many reasons, whether incidental or not. However, he loves to continue, especially in his hours of activity, to utilize these hours. This is known about our Shaykh, may Allah reward him with good. Therefore, I would like to say to our brothers that the Shaykh's absence, or his excuse that he does not want to meet at this hour, or on this day, or in this week, does not mean that he refuses it because he does not love it, but in truth, this is his excuse. And as he said, and as he has always said to me when I call, many of the brothers, or most of the brothers coming from here and there, knock on my door thinking that I have influence with the Shaykh. My influence with the Shaykh is within the limits of reason, ability, and capacity. And this influence is not exclusive to me; it is for every student of knowledge in this country or elsewhere. I do not think he would turn away a visitor to his door if he is able to receive him. This is the second point. As for the third point, many of our brothers also think that we in Jordan enjoy many sessions that our brothers outside Jordan do not enjoy. They say, "Congratulations to you for the presence of the Shaykh." And of course, congratulations to us, a thousand congratulations to us. This is a great blessing upon us.

The Shaykh : Listen to what is behind it.
The student : We are satisfied with this, our Shaykh, and with what is behind it.
Another student: But we say, may Allah bless you. The Companions of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), those around him and in Medina, used to say:
We used to await the Bedouin man who would arrive from the desert, until he would ask the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), so we would listen to his question and answer إنَّنا كنَّا نرتقب الأعرابي يفد من البادية ؛ حتى يسأل الرسول - عليه الصلاة والسلام - ، فنستمع إلى سؤاله وجوابه
. So in truth, we love...

The Shaykh : Without likening.
The student : No, without likening. This is well known. But I say—may Allah bless you—the truth is that we rejoice as those Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) used to rejoice when they came to Medina. And may Allah reward the Shaykh with good for his comment on my words, "without likening," because this word must be commented upon. And the fourth point is that we, praise be to Allah, are all exposed together. And when our Shaykh is subjected to criticism, we love to be the ones subjected to it, not him. But what do you say when the refutation and criticism of the Shaykh comes before that of us, and the criticism of us is coupled with the criticism of the Shaykh? In truth, if there is anything to rejoice in or be proud of, we are proud of being criticized along with the Shaykh often. And we believe that this is a favor and a gift that Allah (Mighty and Majestic) has bestowed upon us through the tongues of those envious critics who do not fear Allah. We take from their good deeds, and they take from our bad deeds as much as they wish. And nothing is clearer than this: a man who wrote a new book, and he is in Yemen, and after he used to say "our Shaykh and our teacher," he now says about the Shaykh that he has in him what is in the Jahmiyyah. And he describes me as a companion. This is his description, may Allah protect us from it. Therefore, I say, may Allah bless you: We are in need of two things from our brothers outside Jordan, who are far from us: First, that they make du'a for the Shaykh and make du'a for us, if Allah wills, because the Shaykh is in need of every good du'a that comes from the heart of every Muslim brother on the face of the earth. And second, that his excuse, meaning the Shaykh's excuse for not agreeing or for excusing himself from the meeting, be an acceptable excuse for them. And I would like, before and after that, before our brothers come—and you, praise be to Allah, have come seeking knowledge and understanding and presenting questions to the Shaykh—I would like, may Allah bless you, that you ask permission before you come so that the coming is with certainty of the matter. And by Allah, I swear by Allah for myself, and I do not think my brothers would contradict me in this oath, that we love to see you always, and we hope that you come one after another, and that we meet in these meetings where we do not know when the next meeting will be after this one, whether there will be another, or a third, or a fourth. And what is more beautiful, sweeter, tastier, and more enjoyable than brothers meeting on one ground, in one house, and in such a blessed hour? And I hope...

The Shaykh : There is no god but Allah. O Allah, forgive our sins, and gather us upon the word of taqwa.
