Was the prayer of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) over the Black woman who used to clean the mosque one of his unique attributes?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : The questioner asks: Is the prayer of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) over the Black woman who used to clean the mosque, while she was in her grave, one of his unique attributes?

The Shaykh : No, nothing indicates that the Messenger (peace be upon him) was specifically singled out for this prayer. Some may think that this prayer contradicts the prohibition against praying in graves or in cemeteries, but that is not a contradiction; because what is prohibited is different from what the Messenger (peace be upon him) himself did. What is prohibited is that you pray your obligatory prayer, or that you pray over your funeral, between the graves, so you place it between the graves and stand to pray, or you pray the obligatory prayer while facing a grave or between graves; this is not permissible in Islam. As for a man or a person who is buried after some of them have prayed over him, or after no one has prayed over him at all, then some Muslims come at that time to perform the duty of the funeral prayer over that Muslim, so they pray over him while he is in his grave. This is what the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) did.
And it is regrettable that this Sunnah is not known in the Islamic countries today for two reasons; one of them is the turning away of most scholars from studying the Sunnah, and the other reason is that it is rare for a Muslim to be buried in his grave without anyone having prayed over him. However, Allah has decreed for me, or for us, to revive this Sunnah when the French bombed the city of Damascus and burned a wide area in it called al-Hariqah, which is still known by this name today. Many casualties fell in a large square there known as al-Marjah Square, when they were suddenly hit by bullets raining down on them from every side. We later learned that among the casualties was a man from our Salafi brothers there named "Abd al-Aziz Mals." We found his grave, and we stood and prayed over him while he was in his grave, to revive this established Sunnah of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
In summary: praying over the dead in his grave is not the same as praying over the dead in his coffin, nor is it the same as praying toward the grave. You are praying to Allah, whether it is an obligatory prayer or a voluntary one. These forms, if I may use the term, are the distinct or exceptional ones that are covered by his saying (peace be upon him):
Do not sit on the graves nor perform Salat towards them. لا تجلسوا على القبور ، ولا تصلوا إليها
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 1050Sahih (Darussalam)
, and the hadith: "He prohibited praying over the grave - or toward the grave." These types are what is intended by these prohibitions. As for a man who is buried and is prayed over while he is in his grave, this is a Sunnah that the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) performed, and his Companions prayed it with him; so that was clear evidence that it is not one of his unique attributes. If he had prayed alone, there would have been room to say that this is a unique attribute; how so, when some of the Companions prayed it with him, and some of them had even prayed over her before she was buried in her grave.
