Clarification that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), nor 'Isa (peace be upon him), nor the best of the Companions after him, nor the Tabi'un, nor those after them, did not celebrate [the occasion]

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : It is self-evident that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not celebrate his birth during his lifetime; for celebrating a person's birth is a Christian method that Islam does not recognize at all in the centuries mentioned earlier. It is therefore even more certain that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) did not know of it, because 'Isa himself, whose birth the claimants of following him celebrate, did not celebrate his own birth, even though it was an extraordinary birth. The celebration of the birth of 'Isa (peace be upon him) is among the religious innovations that the Christians introduced into their religion. As He (Mighty and Majestic) said:
which they innovated; We did not prescribe it for them ابْتَدَعُوهَا مَا كَتَبْنَاهَا عَلَيْهِمْ
[Al-Hadid 57:27]
Therefore, if 'Isa did not celebrate his birth, then Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) likewise did not celebrate his birth. And Allah (Mighty and Majestic) says:
So follow their guidance فَبِهُدَاهُمُ اقْتَدِهْ
This is part of our Prophet following 'Isa (may Allah's prayers and peace be upon him), who is also our Prophet, but his prophethood was abrogated and elevated by the prophethood of the Seal of the Prophets and Messengers (may Allah's prayers and peace be upon them both).
Therefore, when 'Isa descends in the last of times, as mentioned in the authentic, mass-transmitted hadiths, he will rule by the Shari'ah of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). So, Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) did not celebrate his birth. Here, some of those afflicted with the impermissible celebration we are discussing say: "Yes, Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) did not celebrate his birth." We say: He did not celebrate his birth (peace be upon him) after his death, nor did the most beloved of the people to him among men, and the most beloved of the people to him among women, namely Abu Bakr and his daughter 'A'ishah (may Allah be pleased with them both), celebrate the birth of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him). Nor did all the Companions, nor the Tabi'un, nor those who followed them, and so on. Therefore, it is not right for a person who fears Allah, stands by the limits of Allah, and takes a lesson from the saying of Allah (Mighty and Majestic):
And do not pursue that of which you have no knowledge. Indeed, the hearing, the sight and the heart - about all those [one] will be questioned.
[Al-Isra 17:36]
to say that the Messenger did not celebrate because it concerns his person. For the answer will come: None of his Companions, all of them, celebrated him (peace be upon him). So who introduced this celebration after these men who are the best of men, and there is no one better than them after them, and women will never give birth to their like? Who are these who, after the passage of these long years, more than three hundred years, passed without celebrating this or that celebration? Rather, their celebration is of the type I will briefly refer to, as I did earlier. This is sufficient for the Muslim to know that the issue is not one of uncontrolled emotion that does not know the prescribed limits, but rather it is following and submission to the ruling of Allah (Mighty and Majestic). And of that is:
Say, [O Muhammad], "If you should love Allah, then follow me, [so] Allah will love you قُلْ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ تُحِبُّونَ اللَّهَ فَاتَّبِعُونِي يُحْبِبْكُمُ اللَّهُ
[Ali 'Imran 3:31]
So the Messenger of Allah did not celebrate, therefore we do not celebrate. If they say: "He did not celebrate for his person." We say: His Companions also did not celebrate for his person after him. So where are you going? All paths are blocked before the clear, obvious proof that leaves no room at all for saying that this religious innovation is good.
And among the signs of good news is that some preachers and exhorters have begun to be compelled to acknowledge this reality, which is that this celebration of the Mawlid is a religious innovation and not from the Sunnah. But they lack and need some of the scholarly courage that requires standing before the emotions of people who have lived these long centuries while celebrating. These people seem to be cowardly or weak in declaring the truth that they have become convinced of.
