about the Muslim's stance toward these Islamic sects?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : ... We found, may Allah will it, ... the proliferation of groups; whether it be the Muslim Brotherhood, al-Tahrir, or the Salafis, and every group claims that it is the group upon the truth. And Allah (Mighty and Majestic) says in His clear revelation, in the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful:
So do not claim yourselves to be pure; He is most knowing of who fears Him. فَلَا تُزَكُّوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ هُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِمَنِ اتَّقَى
[An-Najm 53:32]
, so the one who knows ... with which group he calls, and with which person he is, and in ... if the hadith is authentic or not,
And when you see a desire being followed, and a greed being obeyed... and the self-admiration of every person who has an opinion in his own opinion وإذ رأيت هوى متَّبعًا وشحًّا مطاعًا ... وإعجاب كلِّ ذي رأي برأيه
So I said: Yes, indeed, every group now is pleased with its own opinion, so the end of the hadith, the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) tells you: So leave it, and when you see every holder of an opinion pleased with his opinion, stick to yourself, and leave the common people; meaning: he should isolate himself from these groups and not rely on them. If he does not apply the Qur'an and the Sunnah, he is far from these groups and far from this matter?

The Shaykh : In my opinion, this question was answered in the previous speech when we mentioned that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) taught the Muslims everything, and clarified it to them with a clear clarification when we mentioned the hadith of the seventy-three sects, and mentioned that one sect among these sects is the saved sect.

The questioner : It is not all of it, all of it tells you ... .

The Shaykh : Allow me, my brother, we did not say the answer to this question, we brought two famous phrases among the scholars; we said first:
"And claims, unless you establish *** upon them proofs, their offspring are claimants"
And we said - also - :
"And every one claims a connection to Layla *** And Layla does not approve of that for them"
Did you hear this speech or not? You are repeating to me now what I said just now; and therefore I hope you pay attention to what we said just now; the claim, every person can claim, but the claim should be accompanied by evidence and proof. If you see a man who does not know how to pray, and says: I am the saved sect; is it correct that he is from the saved sect? If you see a man who does not know what he should believe about Allah and the prophets and messengers, if you see a man - as we gave an example just now - believes that a person can reach Allah without the path of Muhammad (peace be upon him)? Without the path of the Book and the Sunnah? Will this be the one who says: I am from the saved sect? The answer is obvious, is it not? No, he is not from the saved sect, but he is from the lost sect.
Therefore, if you and others hear and find on the face of the Islamic earth today groups, and as we said just now: every one claims a connection to Layla; you must take the evidence from every sect of these sects that testifies to the truth of their claim, and it is not enough that you hear a claim and remain you with the bewildered, bewildered, saying: these say: we are the saved sect, and these and these; you must seek as He (the Exalted) said:
Say, "Produce your proof, if you should be truthful." قُلْ هَاتُوا بُرْهَانَكُمْ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ صَادِقِينَ
[Al-Baqarah 2:111]
, so there is no salvation - we emphasized this speech repeatedly and again - there is no salvation for the Muslim, not only for the Muslims in general, every person today must save himself before others, there is no salvation for him ever except by holding fast to the Book and the Sunnah. So now when you point to some groups, do you hear from these groups: Allah said, the Messenger of Allah said in every issue? In every big and small? Or some of these groups tell you: my brother, researching in these issues is researching in trifles, researching in the husks, and we only want to research in the kernel. Do you hear this speech from some Islamic groups or not? Good; is there husk in Islam? Islam is all kernel, and it is not permissible to describe because the word husk means belittling this which is called husk, so the Islam that came with (peace and blessings be upon him) from the recommended to the creed; this all must be adopted by the Muslim completely from its beginning to its end, and when we say this, we are not afraid and it does not escape our attention that the Muslim cannot uphold Islam from its A to its Z, but he must acknowledge before all things in thought and creed that everything that came with Islam is guidance and light, and that it is not permissible to divide Islam into kernel and husks; because this division contains a slander against Islam from where these people who make Islam kernel and husks do not intend.
And a second thing, if we assume and if we concede for the sake of argument that in Islam there is kernel and in Islam there is husk, we concede this for the sake of argument, but we say: if there is husk in Islam with the kernel, then this husk has wisdom and it is for the preservation of the kernel; as we see that in the world of creation in the fruits and vegetables and the like, all of them are from what Allah (Mighty and Majestic) made subservient for the children of man and honored the children of Adam with, and made for all these benefits what? A husk, without the husk the kernel would have spoiled, so if we concede for the sake of argument that in Islam there is kernel and in Islam there is husk; we must know the kernel and we must know the husk, and we must believe in this and that, and we must believe that Allah did not neglect anything in the Book, and that everything that came with it is for our benefit as he (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
I have not left anything that brings you closer to Allah without commanding you to do it. ما تركت شيئًا يقرِّبكم إلى الله إلا وأمَرْتُكم به
, so this which some call husk is from what came with the Messenger (peace be upon him).
I am mentioning to you now an authentic hadith which may be used as evidence for the division of these for the sake of argument, and it is the hadith of that Bedouin who came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: Inform me about what Allah has made obligatory upon me? So he said to him:
five prayers in every day and night خمس صلوات في كل يوم وليلة
Sahih al-Bukhari 1395
, and mentioned to him only the fasting of Ramadan, and the like of the known obligations from the five pillars; so what was the position of this Bedouin? He asked, saying: Is there upon me, O Messenger of Allah, other than them? He said:
No, unless you do it voluntarily. لا ، إلا أن تطَّوَّع
Sunan an-Nasa'i 458Sahih (Darussalam)
. He said: By Allah - O Messenger of Allah - I will not increase upon them nor decrease. I will not increase upon them nor decrease; meaning the obligations were sufficient for him, and he did not want to do voluntary acts, so when the Messenger (peace be upon him) knew from him his sincerity and truthfulness in his eagerness in his persistence in what Allah made obligatory upon him, he said:
The man succeeded if he was truthful; he entered Paradise if he was truthful أفلَحَ الرجل إن صدق ، دخل الجنة إن صدق
.
So in Islam, instead of saying kernel and husks, we say in it there are obligations and there are voluntary acts, but these voluntary acts were not legislated in vain, yes that man said: I will not increase upon them nor decrease; because he was newly converted to Islam, but the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) taught us and taught us well when he said:
Indeed the first deed by which a servant will be called to account on the Day of Resurrection is his Salat. If it is complete, he is successful and saved, but if it is defective, he has failed and lost. أوَّل ما يُحاسب العبد يوم القيامة الصلاة ؛ فإن تمَّت فقد أفلح وأنجح ، وإن نقصت فقد خاب وخسر
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 413Sahih (Darussalam)
. In another hadith:
If it was deficient, Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He) said to His angels: "Look; does My servant have any voluntary worship? Then complete for him his obligatory duty with it?!" فإن نقصت قال الله - تبارك وتعالى - لملائكته : انظروا ؛ هل لعبدي من تطوُّعٍ فتتمُّوا به له فريضته ؟!
. So this voluntary act which some call husk, this has importance; because this hadith clarifies to us with a clear clarification, and it says that if the Muslim's obligations are deficient when he is reckoned, the first thing he is reckoned for on the Day of Resurrection, our Lord bestows upon His servant, and He orders the angels to look; is there for him any voluntary act? If they find it, they complete with this voluntary act the deficiency that occurred from him in the obligations of Allah (Mighty and Majestic).
So it is not permissible for us to care for some of Islam without some, and I am giving you now a real example in our lives; there are many Islamic groups that do not care about letting their beards grow, they do not care about imitating the disbelievers by wearing "the pants and the jacket and the tie"; what is this? These are husk matters, we want to care for the kernel, good; they do not care about not lengthening the garment and the Messenger says:
Whatever extends below the ankles is in the Fire ما طال دون الكعبين فهو في النار
; with this severe warning, all these types they put in the list of what? The husks, and this reminds me that from the danger of this call that Islam is kernel and husks, who will appoint himself to clarify to people that these issues, and they are in thousands upon thousands, are from the kernel, so you must strive with them, and these may be more and more thousands upon thousands and multiplied times these from the husks; so do not care for them; where is this person?
Was it created afterwards? It was not created, and it will never be created. These are the people who throw this term around among the people, making Islam a matter of essence and shell, and leaving the youth confused; because they are unable to distinguish between what is essence and what is shell after accepting this classification. They cannot do so. So it was obligatory upon these people who innovated this harsh division of essence and shell that they say: "Such and such, and such and such, and such and such, and such and such, and such and such," and they will not be able to enumerate them. "This is from the essence, so you must hold fast to it," and "Such and such, and such and such, and such and such, which is beyond enumeration, this is from the shell, so do not concern yourselves with it."
So—may Allah bless you—when you say that they all claim this, that is a true statement, but we demand the evidence. So what you see is that he is always concerned with knowing what the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) was upon in terms of creed, morals, and worship; how he used to pray, how he used to perform Hajj, how he used to fast, how he used to teach women, men, and children, and so on. This indicates his state, and his state suffices him from his claim that he is from the saved sect; because he held fast to the evidence that the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) established in the hadith of the sects, which is that the evidence of the saved sect is the community; that is, it is what the Messenger and his noble Companions were upon. And thus, the person is walking with insight.
And if you take this rule and this criterion, and try to apply it to the groups that you are referring to, you will find that only a few, and very few indeed, are clear to you from among them. And we have now spoken in general terms and cited some examples relating to the lives of people today who do not care about imitating the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him). We find that some of the youth, if they grow their beards, they are beards in a manner other than the manner of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him). They are in the manner of a leader of theirs who once had a short beard, so they imitate him. And this leader, despite being a Muslim, had a "tie," which is part of the attire of the English that they introduced in many Islamic lands. So they also dress in his attire. But the first master, the master of all people, the master of people on the Day of Resurrection, is Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). Where are those who imitate him? They do not exist except among these people who always call people to follow the Book and the Sunnah. Their methodology is: "Allah said, the Messenger of Allah said," and nothing else.
Perhaps in this is an answer to what you asked.
Yes.
