Clarification that none of these narrated hadiths specify that this warning for image-makers is limited to three-dimensional images

The Shaykh : And no hadith has come to us in any of these narrations regarding three-dimensional images. Not a single one has come to us, up to now, in any of these hadiths that explicitly states that this warning, with which the Messenger (peace be upon him) warned the image-makers and those who possess these images, is limited to three-dimensional images. No hadith has come to us that explicitly states this. Rather, there is the hadith of 'Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), where he said: Riyad as-Salihin 1687. And yet, this, like the preceding hadiths, is not explicit that these images are three-dimensional. In fact, the word "obliterated" in it may indicate that the image is not three-dimensional; because the obliteration of images that were written or painted or embroidered—for example, if they are obliterated with some colors or threads—is closer to breaking an idol if it were three-dimensional. So in all of this is a lesson regarding the deviation of those who interpret these images, about which these hadiths prohibit them, as being three-dimensional. And the mention of three-dimensionality or its meaning has not come in any of these hadiths.
