Discussion of the hadith agreed upon by al-Bukhari and Muslim: “Seventy thousand from my Ummah will enter Paradise without reckoning.”

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : In the well-known hadith in the two Sahihs, he (peace and blessings be upon him) said one day:
Seventy thousand people of my followers will enter Paradise without accounts يدخل الجنة من أمَّتي سبعون ألفًا بغير حساب ، وجوههم كالقمر ليلة البدر
Sahih al-Bukhari 6472
, and then in the story there is some length; he (peace and blessings be upon him) described them by saying:
They are those who do not use charms nor cauterise themselves nor seek omens and who rely on their Lord. هم الذين لا يسترقون ، ولا يكتوون ، ولا يتطيَّرون ، وعلى ربِّهم يتوكَّلون
Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 911
. So a man from the Companions, whose name was Ukashah—or Ukkashah—stood up and said: O Messenger of Allah, make me one of them. He said:
You are one of them. أنتَ منهم
. Another man stood up and said: O Messenger of Allah, call upon Allah to make me one of them. He said:
Ukkashah preceded you to it. سَبَقَك بها عكَّاشة
. So these seventy thousand are the elite of the other seventy thousands; they are the select ones. If he asked his Lord for more, He gave him another seventy thousand. This does not mean that they are in the same proportion, in the same virtue; meaning—for example, if it was difficult for some of the attendees to understand that these are the first elite, as they say today, we say today some of them, so we are asking now: which of these seventy thousands will enter Paradise before him? The answer comes: these first seventy thousand. By this, it becomes clear that there is no contradiction between this and that hadith.
Other than that?
